Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo Araujo has admitted that the idea of signing star French players such as Franck Ribery, Samir Nasri, and Yohan Cabaye, is one that interests him.

Speaking to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Leonardo conceded that bringing France internationals to the Parc des Princes is an attractive prospect.

"I like the idea of seeing major French players at the club. I’m not talking about [Karim] Benzema, but maybe Nasri, Ribery or Cabaye", the Brazilian said.

“I do not know if it’s possible as I have not had any contact with any of them”, he said on being asked about future transfer plans.

Leonardo also made it clear that there have been no offers made for Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney and Napoli forward Edinson Cavani. All three have been linked with PSG.

"There have never been any offers regarding the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, neither of Rooney or Cavani.”

The sporting director also mentioned that club striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is “too important” for PSG to be allowed to leave and the Sweden international is happy in Paris.

"I think Ibra is happy here", he said.
