Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen has admitted that the Bundesliga giants are well aware that South Korean striker Son Heung-Min is wanted by some of England’s biggest clubs.

The German side are working overtime to convince Son to extend his contract at the club, but there are a number of suitors willing to roll out the red carpet for the forward.

Son has been strongly linked with English Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, while Chelsea and Manchester United have also been placed on the list of the player’s admirers by his agent.

And Arnesen knows Son is a wanted man.

"We know that", the sporting director told the Hamburger Morgenpost.

"The scouts are constantly here. Sonny is young, strong and highly sought-after."

And Son’s reluctance to put pen to paper on a new deal is thought to be able to be traced back to Hamburg’s clash against Stuttgart earlier this year, when he was relegated to the bench.

It remains to be seen if the South Korean will extend his contract with Thorsten Fink’s men.
