Chelsea are expected to allow Thorgan Hazard to remain with Belgian side Zulte Waregem into the 2013/14 campaign.

According to Belgian daily Het Nieuwsblad, Chelsea are happy for Eden Hazard’s talented brother to stay in his homeland for a further year if Zulte Waregem qualify for next season’s Champions League.

That is a scenario which looks likely, with Francky Dury’s team sitting top of the Belgian playoff table at present, one point ahead of Anderlecht.

It has been a dream season for Zulte Waregem and one in which Thorgan Hazard has thoroughly played his part.

The 20-year-old has made 32 appearances for the club, in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
