Gonzalo Higuain’s agent has insisted the Real Madrid striker is "honoured" by interest in his services from Juventus.

Higuain has slipped behind Karim Benzema in the pecking order at the Bernabeu this season and has become frustrated with playing a bit-part, super-sub role for the Spanish giants.



Juventus have long been keen on the Argentine and are expected to make a move to tempt him to Turin this summer.

And the Italian champions may not have to work too hard to do just that.

"Juventus are very similar to Real Madrid", Nicola Higuain, the striker’s agent told Italian daily Tuttosport.

"The interest is a tremendous honour", the representative added.
