Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen has explained that he feels a move to Borussia Dortmund would be good for his development, but stresses it is not the only option on the table.

Eriksen is expected to leave the Amsterdam ArenA this summer and Dortmund, along with English Premier League giants Liverpool, have been leading the race for his signature.

There has been much talk in recent days about an opening bid from the Champions League finalists, although Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars has insisted no offer has yet been received.

It is clear though that Eriksen would be open to joining Jurgen Klopp’s men.

"Dortmund would definitely be one of the options that would be good for me", the 21-year-old told Bold.

"It is of course not the only one, but it is certainly a possibility."

Eriksen also insisted that if a suitable offer does not arrive, he has little problem remaining at Ajax.

"If there is something exciting, I would like to go, but if not then I don’t mind staying."

Eriksen helped Ajax to their third consecutive Dutch Eredivisie title this season, excelling for Frank de Boer’s men.

The Denmark international also made an impact in the Champions League, where Ajax finished third in a group containing Dortmund, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
