Toulouse have shown the first major sign of attempts at a financial revival by revealing that a few players could be heading for the exit door.

President Olivier Sadran has previously stated that the club was facing a "slow death" if the monetary situation worsened, with a budget deficit already predicted for next year.

And Sadran today announced three players had been given permission to seek a move elsewhere, but insisted any sale would only be made on a solid offer.

Etienne Capoue, Cheik M’Bengue and Franck Tabanou are on the exit list at Toulouse, even after club coach Alain Casanova’s hope of retaining at least Capoue, who has had interest from abroad.

Sadran told La Depeche du Midi: "If we sell players this season, we will be in a financially positive place again like last season."

Capoue had attracted a €10m offer from Queens Park Rangers, while interest has been shown in him by clubs such as Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur.

"For Capua, if a substantial offer is made, a little better than from this winter, I gave him my commitment that he could leave", Sadran added.

"M’Bengue, he still has a one-year contract. And we do not want to repeat the same pattern what we had with Moussa Sissoko [referring to his unexpected transfer to Newcastle United]."
