New Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is keen to see Gael Kakuta in action before deciding whether the forward should spend another season on loan at Vitesse.

The 21-year-old managed 26 games for Vitesse in Holland throughout 2012/13 and the plan was that he would remain at the club for a further campaign.

But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Mourinho may choose a different course for Kakuta, with the Portuguese not willing to blindly give his consent to another year in Holland for the Frenchman.

Mourinho wants Kakuta back at Stamford Bridge in order to cast his eye over the forward, before making a decision on his future.
