Wesley Sneijder appears to have been raving about the delights of Turkish football to his family, with brother Rodney Sneijder having received offers from the Super Lig.

The 22-year-old is on a contract until next summer with Eredivisie side RKC Waalwijk, having played 26 times in the league with two goals this season.

His brother Wesley Sneijder, meanwhile, spent the second half of last season at Turkish giants Galatasaray who secured the league title with a 10-point margin over Fenerbahche.

However, Rodney Sneijder denied his interest in Turkey and vice versa was a direct result of the family connection.

"I have a few concrete offers from Turkey", he told the Brabants Dagblad. "One of those offers, I have actually not refused yet.

"[But] it isn’t the case that the attraction has come because of Wesley. The club, in fact, is based all the way in east Turkey."

While there has been no revelation on which club Rodney Sneijder has received offers from, five of Turkey’s top flight clubs in Sivasspor, Elazigspor, Gaziantepspor, Caykur Rizespor and Trabzonspor hail from the eastern part of the country.
