Scottish giants Celtic have cast their eyes over to Monaco and prolific striker Ibrahima Toure.

The Principality club’s summer spending spree, attracting Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid and James Rodriguez from FC Porto, threaten Toure’s spot in the side, despite his goalscoring feats last season.

Indeed, the Senegal international managed over 20 goals last season for Monaco, then in Ligue 2, and was credited with being a driving source behind the club’s promotion.

However, he could be available this summer, given Monaco’s spending and, according to Tutto Mercato, Celtic are keen.

The Scottish champions are looking to strengthen their forward line in possible anticipation of a departure for Gary Hooper, who has just one year left on his contract.

Toure joined Monaco last year, signing from United Arab Emirates side Ajman.

He has won four caps for Senegal at international level.
