Chelsea have seen a €15m bid rejected by Sporting Lisbon for winger Bruma, according to Portuguese daily Correio da Manha.

Bruma has been labelled the "new Cristiano Ronaldo" having developed in Sporting Lisbon’s youth ranks and shown glimpses of almost limitless potential.

The Portuguese giants have admitted that they may not be able to keep hold of the 18-year-old, whose contract at the club expires next summer; they are now bemoaning the fact it was not extended.

But Sporting Lisbon appear ready to play hardball to realise the highest possible fee from Bruma’s sale.

And to this end, they have knocked back a €15m offer from Chelsea.

Bruma, who has been starring at the ongoing Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, is believed to have impressed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

It remains to be seen if the Blues will return with a larger offer for the talented winger.
