FC Twente are prepared to let Leroy Fer make his move from Holland to England, but club chairman Joop Munsterman believes suitors must meet their expected valuation of €10m.

Fer was being courted by Everton in January, even if fears over his knee had scuppered the deal.

The Toffees were understood to be offering €2m below Twente’s expectations, and now Norwich City and Newcastle United are also in the hunt for the Holland Under-21 international.

Both Fer and his team-mate Nikolay Mihaylov have been excluded from pre-season training, with the latter linked with a move to Serie A side Fiorentina.

And Munsterman was quoted by De Telegraaf as saying: "Those guys are on the verge of a transfer, so it makes no sense for them to come [to training]. The players want to leave.

"The club knows where it stands. We have no problem in making the sale, but you never know.

"You have to see what happened with Everton. They were initially going to pay €10m, but eventually lowered it by about two million."

The 23-year-old all-action midfielder joined Twente from Feyenoord in 2011, and went on to make 77 aappearances for the former Eredivisie champions, scoring 21 goals.
