Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for striker Edinson Cavani, with the Uruguayan due in the French capital today.
Cavani was chased intently by Chelsea earlier this summer, while Manchester City baulked at paying the player’s €63m release clause at Napoli.
Such a sum is not an issue for PSG though, who will meet the clause and have already agreed the terms of a contract with Cavani.
Now, according to Sky Italia, Cavani is due in Paris tomorrow for his medical.

Once the striker, who scored 29 times in Serie A last season, passes the requisite tests, he will put pen to paper on a lucrative contract at the Parc des Princes and become a PSG player.
Laurent Blanc, PSG’s newly appointed coach, expressed his confidence over Cavani’s arrival recently, and the Frenchman’s optimism is well placed.
The Uruguayan is now ready to form a lethal striking partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
