Serie A giants Roma have completed the signing of Maicon from Manchester City, publishing a picture of the Brazilian in their training kit.
The picture also had a message which read: "Welcome aboard, Maicon!”
The defender has been roped in on a two-year deal that will see him at the club until 2015.
The 31-year-old, who joined Manchester City from Inter Milan in August 2012, has left the Etihad Stadium after less than a year with the club and returns to Italy.

Maicon struggled with injury throughout the last campaign and only made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Manchester-based club.
He was signed by Inter from Monaco in 2006 and spent six trophy-laden years with the Nerazzurri, helping the club to win four Serie A titles, three Italian Super Cups, two Coppa Italia trophies along with a Champions League and a FIFA Club World Cup.
The right-back has also been capped 66 times by Brazil.
