Everton have submitted a bid to sign Le Mans centre-back Mory Kone.
The offer from the Toffees landed at the French club on Friday and, according to L’Equipe, was set at €1m.
Kone only broke through at Le Mans last season, but has long been tipped for the top, with appearances at youth level for France Under-17s, Ivory Coast Under-17s, France Under-18s and France Under-19s.
The 19-year-old spent time in the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain, before eventually landing at Le Mans in 2009.

And his talents have caught the eye of Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
A move to the Premier League will undoubtedly be attractive for Kone, with Le Mans having been relegated from Ligue 2 last season, something which will see the club operate in the third tier of French football in 2013/14.
Kone appeared in 23 games for Le Mans last season. The 19-year-old is under contract with the club until 2015.
