Lyon striker Jimmy Briand has turned down a move to English Premier League new boys Hull City, according to Canal +.

Les Gones are keen to offload the 27-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his contract at the Stade Gerland.

But Briand will not be heading to the KC Stadium to sign for Hull, having quickly snubbed the opportunity.

Indeed, the striker is believed to be keen to stay within France and preferably with Lyon, despite the club looking to move him off the wage bill.
