Vitesse have completed the signing of Lucas Piazon from Chelsea on a season-long loan, with the club's technical director telling the Dutch side's fans they have bagged a player often compared to Kaka.

Piazon spent the last part of last term on loan at Spanish outfit Malaga and Chelsea have decided the 19-year-old could do with more first team experience, which Vitesse are only too happy to provide.

Indeed, the Eredivisie side have a close relationship with Chelsea, which has seen several players ply their trade at the club.

And Piazon is extremely welcome, with technical director Ted van Leeuwen impressed with Vitesse's new acquisition.

"Lucas is a left winger who can also play behind the strikers", he told his club's official site.

"He is a talented attacking midfielder who is often compared to Kaka by the media.

"He is very motivated to come and play with us. Lucas could have also gone to other clubs, but he has deliberately chosen Vitesse."

Piazon will link up with Chelsea team-mates Gael Kakuta, Patrick van Aanholt and Cristian Cuevas at Vitesse.
