Samuel Eto'o's representatives are set for talks with a trio of English Premier League clubs in London next week, as the likelihood of the Cameroonian striker leaving Anzhi Makhachkala grows.

Anzhi owner Suleyman Kerimov has opted to drastically slash the budget at the Russian Premier League club, selling off foreign players and moving on some well known domestic faces.

Kerimov even removed former Manchester United first team coach Rene Meulensteen, who had spent just 18 days in charge.

The path for Anzhi now is developing local players and, though the club have maintained they want Eto'o to stay, offloading the 32-year-old's €20m per year salary would be an attractive move.

Now, according to Sky Italia, Eto'o's representatives are heading to London on Tuesday, with meetings planned with Chelsea and Manchester United officials.

More informal talks are also due to be scheduled with Tottenham Hotspur, who could yet choose to become involved in the race for the former Barcelona striker.

Outside England, Eto'o's old club Inter are still lurking, although the player would have to take a very large pay cut to land at the San Siro.

Eto'o joined Anzhi in 2011 from Inter and helped the Dagestan giants to a finish of third in the Russian Premier League last season.
