Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic will "absolutely not" be making an exit from Serie A side Roma during the current transfer window, the player's agent has claimed.

Pjanic, 23, is currently being targeted by London giants Tottenham Hotspur as another addition to their squad, despite having already spent an estimated £50m to reel in the likes of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, Belgian winger Nacer Chadli, and ex-Valencia striker Roberto Soldado to White Hart Lane.

Such drastic changes to the squad are believed to be paving the way to a life without Welsh winger Gareth Bale, who is inching closer to a move to Real Madrid.

But the revolution at London will have to be cut short if they count on Pjanic moving to their side, as his agent has rubbished any chance of client leaving Roma.

"Miralem is and will remain a Roma player. He will not be sold this summer, absolutely not", said Pjanic's agent Michele Gerbino to Centro Suono Sport.

The Bosnian midfielder made a total 29 appearances for the Italian capital club last season, scoring four goals and providing eight assists along the way.

Pjanic is contracted with Roma until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
