Arsenal are keen on Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria, but face a battle to convince coach Carlo Ancelotti to part with the player and a fight to persuade the Argentine he should move to London.

The Gunners have money to spend this summer but have struggled to land their targets, seeing several big names slip through the net.

Recently Arsene Wenger's men have focused their efforts on Karim Benzema and Di Maria, but the former's agent has insisted there will be no move for his client to Arsenal.

And according to Spanish daily Marca, Arsenal will find it tough to attract Di Maria too.

The winger is good friends with Cristiano Ronaldo and there have even been some suggestions that the Portuguese has asked president Florentino Perez not to sell Di Maria.
