Kevin-Prince Boateng has completed his transfer to Schalke from AC Milan, the Serie A club have confirmed.

The Ghana international will sign a four-year deal with the Veltins Arena outfit, which will keep him at the club until 2017.

 


Boateng is happy with the move and has branded the Bundesliga as the best league in the world.

He has also revealed that the German club first contacted him a year ago.

“I'm happy to be back home in Germany, in the best league in the world”, Boateng said.

“The first contact was there a year ago, sometimes you have to wait for good things and opportunities.”

The 26-year-old joined Milan from Portsmouth in 2010 and netted 17 times in 100 appearances for the San Siro outfit.

He also counts Hertha Berlin, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund amongst his former clubs.

The player represented Germany at youth level before deciding to switch his allegiances to Ghana.

Boateng has been capped nine times by the African nation and has a single international goal to his name.
