West Ham have offered Juventus €750,000 to take forward Fabio Quagliarella on loan for the season.

The Hammers are keen to sign another striker, but have been frustrated by financial constraints which govern the amount by which they can increase their wage bill.

That could be eased somewhat by the departure of Ricardo Vaz Te, who has handed in a transfer request.

Now, according to SportItalia, the English Premier League side have sent an offer to Juventus for Quagliarella.

The proposal, which came through agent Giuseppe Bozzo, would see Juventus pocket €750,000 for sending the 30-year-old to Upton Park on a season-long loan.

Quagliarella has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs this summer, as the arrivals of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez threaten to cut down his playing time in Turin.

Juventus have yet to respond to West Ham's proposal.
