Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has heaped praise on the club’s summer acquisition Samuel Eto'o.

The striker, who has previously played under the Portuguese during his coaching stint with Inter Milan, joined the Blues from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala on a one-year deal.

And Mourinho has revealed that the 32-year-old was always eager to ply his trade in England and now has his sights set on becoming the first player to win La Liga, Serie A and the Premier League titles.

“Samuel is a very experienced striker as everybody knows, and a winner”, the manager told Chelsea TV.

“He's a guy who inspite of winning everything, he never lost his desire to win.

"He comes to England with the same objective with which I went to Spain – he wants to be the first one to win the Spanish, the Italian and the English league as a player, and he always wanted to play in the Premier League so he comes with big motivation."

Mourinho, who already had Fernando Torres and Demba Ba in his ranks as strikers, feels that Eto’o has different qualities than his fellow forwards in the Blues squad.

“He is different from Torres; Torres is different from Ba and Ba is different from Eto'o, so we have in these three strikers experience and different qualities”, he added.

Eto’o has previously won La Liga with Barcelona and also helped Mourinho to win the Italian league title with Inter Milan.

The striker, who has been capped 110 times by Cameroon, has 54 international goals to his name.
