Arsenal are keeping tabs on Udinese striker Luis Muriel ahead of a possible swoop for the Colombian.

Muriel is quickly picking up admirers from across Europe due to his performances for the Serie A side, which included an impressive eleven goals in 22 Italian top flight games last term.

And this season has seen the Colombian take that form into the current campaign, with Muriel having already scored twice in three Serie A appearances.

The striker has also been on target in Europe, finding the back of the net twice in Udinese's two Europa League qualifiers.

Now, according to Calcio Mercato, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the Santo Tomas-born marksman ahead of a possible bid to take him to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal failed to land a striker in the summer transfer window, despite much publicised chases of Liverpool's Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain, formerly of Real Madrid and now at Napoli, with the Azzurri winning the race for the Argentine.

Udinese however, well aware of Muriel's talent and potential, have tied the starlet down to a contract running until 2018, leaving them very much in the driving seat over his future.
