Everton are interested in raiding Valencia for Mexican midfielder Andres Guardado, according to Spanish outlet Valencia Plaza.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is believed to be a big admirer of Guardado and would welcome the chance to take him to Goodison Park.

Guardado, who operates on the wing, joined Los Che from Deportivo La Coruna last year and proved an indispensable member of the side last term, making over 30 La Liga appearances.

This season has seen Valencia struggle out of the blocks so far and Los Che will not be keen on losing the services of Guardado, however the club's financial situation may dictate any offers are at least listened to.
