Gaston Ramirez's agent has seemingly opened the door for his client to join Napoli, explaining the Uruguayan does not get along with the manager at current club Southampton.

Ramirez was signed from Bologna for Southampton by the club's previous boss, Nigel Adkins, who was replaced by Argentine Mauricio Pochettino in January.

That has proven to be a problem for Ramirez, who now appears to be angling for a return to Italy, where he turned out with Bologna until the summer of 2012 with much distinction.

Speaking to Napolicalciolive.com, Ramirez's agent Pablo Betancourt was quoted as saying: "Napoli is a possibility.

"Gaston really likes the chairman Nicola Cortese, but not the coach Pochettino."

Ramirez has struggled to command a starting spot under Pochettino this term, with all four of his Premier League appearances for the Saints having come from the bench.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is under contract until 2016 with the Premier League club.
