Lazio midfielder Hernanes has collected two English admirers in the form of Arsenal and Tottenham, according to Italian outlet Sportmediaset.

The Brazilian schemer has already seen Arsenal fail with an attempt to sign him in the summer, but now could have two options should he choose to continue his career in the English Premier League, following Tottenham taking an interest in his progress.

Lazio are keen to keep hold of the 28-year-old, but have yet failed to make significant progress on renewing a contract which is due to expire in the summer of 2015.

The attack-minded midfielder remains a key man at Lazio, with seven Serie A appearances, which yielded two goals and one assist, under his belt so far this season.

But Arsenal and Tottenham are attentive to the Brazilian's talents and could test the waters in January with an offer, meaning Lazio may have to complete the campaign without Hernanes.

Should the pair firm up their interest with an official bid, the situation could lead to an auction of sorts, which Lazio would be happy to see unfold.

Lazio have suffered a lacklustre start to the current campaign and sit ninth in Serie A, with eleven points from eight games so far.
