Tottenham Hotspur are keen to scoop up Dinamo Zagreb talent Alen Halilovic, but the player and his father are stalling on accepting a switch to White Hart Lane.

According to Sky Italia, Dinamo Zagreb are minded to give the green light to a proposal from Spurs which would see them net €20m for the 17-year-old.

However, despite an offer of €1.5m per year in wages for Halilovic, the player's father has advised his son against the move without guarantees.

The Croatia international wants to know he will receive playing time under Andre Villas-Boas at Tottenham, with some talk that Halilovic wants a set number of games, with a minimum of 45 minutes per game, to be inserted into any contract with the English Premier League outfit.

Halilovic is also in no rush to put pen to paper due to his contractual situation at Dinamo Zagreb.

The attack-minded midfielder's contract expires in the summer, something which will offer him a larger degree of movement when picking where to continue his career.

Halilovic has featured three times for Croatia at international level, with his talent long signposted.
