Sebastian Rode will be sure to have set tongues wagging at Arsenal, after claiming the sight of his compatriots enjoying life there was not one he could ignore.

Rode has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in Europe and, according to Bild, it is Arsenal and Liverpool who will battle for his signature alongside Bayern Munich.

The lines will be drawn in winter, given that Rode's contract expires next year and the 23-year-old is already impressed with what players like Mesut Ozil are experiencing.

Ozil, Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski and Serge Gnabry are flying the German flag at the Emirates Stadium, and Rode told Bild: "With so many Germans who are playing in Arsenal, it cannot be a bad patch."

But it remains to be seen if Eintracht Frankfurt will allow a move for the player who joined them in 2010 from boyhood club Kickers Offenbach.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is understood to be a fan of Rode. The defensive midfielder has already clocked up nine appearances in the Bundesliga this season and is also a regular in the Europa League.

But when asked if there was any motivation for a move abroad, Rode said: "This question is currently not for me.

"These questions about my future do not burden me. There is no timetable and you will know soon enough."
