Steaua Bucharest will be enjoying a few transfer options in the next few months after news that Liverpool have joined Monaco and Roma in tracking defender Iasmin Latovlevici.

Latovlevici emerged into the viewfinders of European clubs this summer when Roma first showed an interest back in July.

Monaco are also looking at the Romanian, possibly as a replacement for Eric Abidal, who only has a one-year deal.

And Latovlevici's agent insists it is only a matter of time before a speculative interest from Liverpool yields something a lot more concrete.

"It's true, that there is interest from Monaco", agent Florin Iacob told Romanian outlet Sport.ro.

"But I was also contacted by the biggest clubs, and no one should be surprised if Liverpool show an interest.

"This is not confirmed, but it would not come as a surprise."

Latovlevici has so far made his steady way up the Romanian levels, and joined Steaua Bucharest in 2010 from Politehnica Timisoara.
