Inter coach Walter Mazzarri has set his heart on signing Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado in January, but will face stiff opposition to get his man.

The Colombia international has been in sensational form for La Viola so far this term and has attracted interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

 


Recently Arsenal sent their chief contract negotiator to watch Cuadrado in action, in a further sign of just how seriously they are tracking the 25-year-old.

But Mazzarri is keen on Inter entering the race for the winger, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport and, backed with cash from the takeover of the club by businessman Erik Thohir, may be in a position to compete.

Cuadrado is thought to be rated at around the €30m mark.

The 25-year-old has scored four times for Fiorentina in all competitions so far this season, along with providing two assists.

Mazzarri's Inter are chasing a Champions League bearth this term and currently sit fourth in Serie A, with 22 points from their eleven games, having lost just once.
