Atletico Madrid forward Adrian is poised to be at the centre of a transfer duel between Liverpool and Roma in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has struggled to hold down a first team spot under Diego Simeone at the Vicente Calderon this season and is prepared to look for a fresh hunting ground in the new year.
Adrian has been targeted by two American owned clubs in Liverpool and Roma, according to Spanish daily AS, with the pair preparing to battle for his signature.
Liverpool are thought to be slightly ahead in the race, but Adrian is believed to have been impressed by Roma's fine start to the new season, which has put them top of Serie A.

The 25-year-old has started just twice in La Liga so far this term, although he has made a further six appearances for the bench.
However, despite featuring in a total 12 games for Los Rojiblancos in all competitions, Adrian is still waiting to open his goalscoring account.
Last season the forward notched four goals in 46 games for Atletico Madrid.
