Julio Cesar may be hunting high and low for a January move, but the Fiorentina door may be closed as sporting director Daniele Prade claimed he is happy with the club's current number one.

Fiorentina became linked with Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Cesar this summer, but the move fell through over wage demands.

Arsenal and Internacional were on the radar for Cesar though the latter declared themselves out of the race earlier this month.

Any hope of Fiorentina mounting a January move is diminishing as Prade told Sky Italia: "This is not the time to talk about Julio Cesar.

"That could have been a discussion for the summer but that time has passed. We decided to focus on Neto, who is repaying us.

"We are a club that makes plans ahead of time, we know how to improve ourselves. But we are all set as it is for January."

Cesar, who has not played a single game for QPR this season, is desperate to move in a World Cup year, though Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has already given him plenty of backing.

"He is one of my three goalkeepers, that is guaranteed", Scolari had said in September. "Whether or not he plays for his club, it doesn't matter. That does not concern me."
