Dutch second-division side Graafschap have warned they will not let star striker Piotr Parzyszek go on the cheap with Benfica yearning to snap up the Pole.

Parzyszek is currently the leading scorer in the Dutch Jupiler League with 15 goals in 17 games and that has brought Benfica to the fore.

The Poland Under-21 international was yesterday confirmed as being on Benfica's radar, by Doetinchem managing director Henk Bloemers.

And though technical director Roland Vroomans today explained to Algemeen Dagblad that a move was "conceivable", it will be only feasible in the summer.

"We want him to stay," Vroomans said. "It's not that we did want to keep him for the rest of the season at all costs.

"But Benfica must tempt us with a very good offer. We are not going to let him go in the winter though.

"Piotr is very important to us, as are his goals. We want to finish as high as possible and we need to have him for this in the second half of the season.

"If he stays, he can also be the top scorer of the Jupiler League."

Parzyszek is under contract at Doetinchem until 2016 and made his senior debut for the club last year scoring 13 goals in 32 league games.
