Yohan Cabaye has admitted that he would love to play for Paris Saint-Germain, but insists there has been no contact from the wealthy French side.

The midfielder currently turns out for Newcastle in the Premier League and has been at the centre of much transfer speculation in recent months, something sure to only increase following his weekend winning goal for the Magpies against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Cabaye was the subject of a summer bid from Arsenal, while Liverpool have been strongly linked with moving to secure his services more recently.

PSG too have seen themselves mentioned as a potential destination for the pass-master but, while Cabaye would love to play for the French champions, he cannot report any contact in that regard.

"Contact with PSG? Not to my knowledge", Cabaye told beIN Sport.

"I know that in January the rumours will start all over again.

"I'd like to know who does not want to play for Paris Saint-Germain today?"

Cabaye recently went public with his desire to play Champions League football, something Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has told the Frenchman to concentrate on bringing to St. James' Park rather than heading elsewhere to find.
