Southampton are considering making a move for Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli in the winter transfer window, in view of the potential departure of Gaston Ramirez.

Ramirez is not cutting a happy figure at the Saints and his agent has admitted the midfielder is not favoured by the club's manager Mauricio Pochettino and would welcome a return to Italy, having moved to England from Bologna.

 


Feghouli, a player who has been linked with Liverpool at points over the last 12 months and whom Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised, could be an addition for Southampton.

Indeed, according to Tutto Mercato, the Saints are pondering a move for the Algerian international.

Feghouli has fallen out of favour at the Mestalla this term and Los Che are ready to sell in January if an acceptable bid is made for the 23-year-old.

The attack-minded midfielder joined Valencia in 2010 and quickly set about establishing himself at the club after a loan stint with Almeria.
