The Ligue 1 champions were strongly linked with the France right-back, whose contract at Arsenal expires next summer.

But the summer transfer window came and went and Sagna remained at the Emirates Stadium, something he is happy was the case.

Speaking to beIN Sport, he said: "PSG? It was not really real, there was no specific approach for me.

"I saw from right and left their interest in me.

"I just ignored it and focused on my club.

"Meanwhile, little injuries changed things, but I do not regret staying at Arsenal."

Sagna joined the Gunners from French outfit Auxerre in the summer of 2007.

The right-back has featured in 13 of Arsenal's 16 Premier League games so far this term, as the Gunners top the table.
