In-demand Saint-Etienne defender Kurt Zouma is not planning to leave the Ligue 1 side in the January transfer window, despite interest from a number of clubs.

Zouma was linked with a whole host of sides in the summer, with his agent revealing clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and Borussia Dortmund were all keeping tabs on the promising centre-back.

More recently Monaco too have joined the race, with Claudio Ranieri's men eyeing keeping Zouma in France, while Saint-Etienne's coach Christophe Galtier revealed Chelsea and Manchester City are firmly in the mix.

But according to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Zouma has decided he will not leave Saint-Etienne next month under any circumstances.

Les Verts have also been clear that they do not need to sell Zouma from a financial point of view, even if big-money offers landing on their doormat could be difficult to refuse.

Nevertheless, the signs point firmly towards a summer move for the 19-year-old, if he is to leave Saint-Etienne in 2014.

Zouma, who has featured in eleven Ligue 1 games so far this season, is locked down on a contract which runs until 2017 at Saint-Etienne.
