Marseille defender Nicolas N'Koulou has ruled out quitting the Stade Velodrome in the upcoming January transfer window.
N'Koulou, who has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Napoli, is expected to be at the centre of much speculation when the window swings open in a matter of weeks.
But with Marseille having finished bottom of their Champions League group, coach Elie Baup having been sacked, and the side toiling away in Ligue 1, the Cameroon international does not feel he can leave the club at this point.
Indeed, N'Koulou wants to repay Marseille for the faith they have shown in him and also believes were he to leave when not at his best it would be to his detriment.

He explained via France Football: "I can do better.
"I am not a coward, I am not happy with what I have shown today. I could not leave like this.
"I owe a lot to this club which have trusted in me. It is important for me to get back on track and put the record straight before considering a departure."
N'Koulou will hope to take the first steps towards doing just that this evening when Marseille play Toulouse in the Coupe de la Ligue.
