Current Holland coach Louis van Gaal is prepared to consider taking over at Tottenham Hotspur, but only in the summer.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is currently planning for next summer's World Cup, which he hopes to help Holland make a splash in.

He has already confirmed he is standing down after the tournament however, with Guus Hiddink expected to replace him at the helm of the Oranje.

But that will not mark a break from coaching for Van Gaal, who is attracted to the idea of taking over at White Hart Lane.

"I've always said that I want to work in the Premier League", he told NOS, adding: "So it's a possibility.

"But I've also read that Frank de Boer and Guus Hiddink are involved [in the race].

"And everyone who knows me knows that I do not want to have two jobs at the same time."

Spurs are currently in the hands of caretaker boss Tim Sherwood.
