The 25-year-old has been tipped as being ready to join Europe's biggest clubs, with Inter Milan and Bayern Munich also in the running.

However, Cuadrado's mother Marcela Bello Guerrero told firenzeviola.it: "Juan and I wish we could stay here for a long time. Florence is now our home.

"I love Fiorentina so much for the opportunity they gave my son to show his great ability."

It remains to be seen if Cuadrado's heart will rule Fiorentina's wallets, as coach Vincenzo Montella is well aware of the financial benefits of his sale.

Cuadrado is contracted at Fiorentina until 2017, and Montella had said in late November: "I hope that he remains [with us].

"But if he were to be sold there would be money coming in that we could use to invest and build a stronger Fiorentina."
