Inter and Chelsea are having trouble coming to an agreement over midfielder Fredy Guarin.

Jose Mourinho's men want to snap up the Colombian this month and, while Inter are willing to sell, valuation differences between the two teams are stalling an deal.

According to Sky Italia, that has led Chelsea to sound out Benfica over midfielder Nemanja Matic, although Guarin remains their first choice.

Inter are now waiting for Chelsea to return with an improved proposal for Guarin, with the Nerazzurri more than willing to sell the player for the right price.

Guarin himself is open to moving to Stamford Bridge, though will not push for a move away from Inter from his end.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's interest in Matic, a former Blues player, is complicated by the Serbian also being on Manchester City's wishlist.
