Lille president Michel Seydoux has slammed the door on a speculated exit for forward Salomon Kalou.

The former Chelsea striker has been linked with both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the current transfer window – but Seydoux is not interested in selling the Ivory Coast international.

Indeed, the Lille supremo has dubbed the transfer chatter "gossip" and insisted that he has not been contacted by any English club for Kalou.

Asked about the talk of interest from Arsenal and Spurs, Seydoux told Eurosport: "It is only gossip.

"I'll tell you two things: No English club have contacted me about Kalou and, anyway, we are not going to sell.

"Kalou will not leave the club this winter."

The 28-year-old landed at Lille in 2012, fresh off winning the Champions League with Chelsea.

He initially struggled to adapt to French football but eventually finished his debut campaign with a respectable 14 goals in 28 Ligue 1 appearances.
