Manchester United are poised to loan winger Wilfried Zaha to Cardiff City until the end of the season.

Zaha has been out of favour at Old Trafford since arriving at the club from Crystal Palace last summer; the winger had signed for the Red Devils in January last year, but was allowed to complete the season with the Eagles.

According to the BBC, Zaha had a medical with Cardiff earlier today and the Welsh side are hopeful of completing his signing before their FA Cup tie against Bolton on Saturday.

The move is likely to have been smoothed by Cardiff's recent appointment of former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new manager.

Zaha, who cost Manchester United £15m to sign, has made just four appearances for the club.

The winger may hope a run of regular games could allow him to push for a spot in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the summer's World Cup.
