Cesc Fabregas feels that his Barcelona team-mate Neymar has much in common with club legend Johan Cruyff.

Neymar landed at the Camp Nou in the summer and has already started to show his quality, filling in for Lionel Messi with aplomb when the Argentine was injured recently.

Fabregas is impressed with what he has seen from his new team-mate and has lavished praise on him.

"Neymar reminds me of Johan Cruyff, I think", the Spaniard told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I never saw Cruyff play live. But he had incredible speed in his legs, like Neymar.

"They start fast, slow down suddenly and then start again with a lot of speed."

Neymar, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, has made 16 appearances in La Liga for Barcelona this season, scoring six goals and providing eight assists.
