Thorgan Hazard's coach at Zulte Waregem believes that the Chelsea-contracted starlet can enjoy a career similar to that of Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne moved from Belgian outfit Genk to Chelsea, spending time on loan at Werder Bremen, and then ultimately finding the Bundesliga much more to his liking, sealing a permanent exit from Stamford Bridge last month to join Wolfsburg.

Hazard meanwhile is in the second of two season-long loans at Zulte Waregem from Chelsea, and has established himself as one of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League's top performers. Indeed, Anderlecht chased him last month, but Zulte Waregem kept hold of the Chelsea man.

Coach Franck Dury is certain that the forward can make a name for himself outside his homeland, just as De Bruyne has done, even if Hazard himself will hope to enjoy more success at Chelsea than the midfielder managed.

"All the hubbub around his potential departure was an obstacle in his development, but I am convinced he can enjoy a career comparable to Kevin De Bruyne", Dury told RTBF.

"But before that, he has to continue his last four months with us."

Dury has already accepted that it is unlikely Hazard will be at Zulte Waregem next term, but promised that he is "eyeing a player capable of replacing Thorgan Hazard next season".
