Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has admitted he feels sorry for Manchester United, as the Red Devils stumble from one lacklustre result to the next.

David Moyes' men could only draw 2-2 at home against bottom club Fulham yesterday, meaning they now sit nine points behind fourth-placed Liverpool in the Premier League, their top four hopes hanging by a shred.

But Mourinho, whose Chelsea sit top of the pile, is taking no pleasure at all in that however, despite Manchester United being rivals.

"They can [still finish in the top four]", he told a press conference.

"It's not easy, they know that.

"They know they are in the limit for the top four and they also know that teams like us, Liverpool and Arsenal are doing okay. But it's possible.

"I feel sorry for them.

"I never enjoy when somebody is having some problems like they have.

"But United is United and David is experienced."

Manchester United are next in action on Wednesday night when they travel to face Arsenal, while Mourinho's Chelsea play West Brom this midweek.
