Liverpool won't be resting any players for Sunday's FA Cup clash against Arsenal, manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed, with sights firmly set on winning the competition.

With the Reds now considered serious Premier League title challengers and only four points behind leaders Chelsea, there had been suggestions Rodgers could go easy in the FA Cup match in order to focus on the Premier League.

However, the Liverpool manager has categorically rejected that thought and is aiming to send his strongest team out at the Emirates Stadium to put Arsenal to the sword.

"Not really [there’s no temptation to rest players]", the Northern Irishman told a press conference.

"We want to win the FA Cup, that's our objective.

"Because of the nature of games we have no midweek game so we can go as strong as we wish to go.

"It's probably different for Arsenal as they have a massive game in the Champions League.

"We won't need to rest anyone."

Liverpool head to the Emirates Stadium with fresh memories of thrashing Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield last weekend, a clash which saw the Gunners knocked off the top of the Premier League table. They will now aim to increase the pain by putting Arsene Wenger's men out of the FA Cup.
