Manchester United midfielder Davide Petrucci admits he is eyeing another loan spell away from the club after returning from Belgian outfit Royal Antwerp.

The Italian had joined Antwerp on a loan switch until the end of the campaign, but was recalled to Old Trafford last month, something which appears to have suited the 22-year-old given he had been played out of position in Belgium.

"It was just that sometimes I played out wide and sometimes behind the striker but running beyond him and that is not really my game", he explained to his club's site, reflecting on the loan.

But Petrucci is not eyeing a lengthy spell making up the numbers at Manchester United and is aiming to head back out on loan to clock up further first team experience.

"It's always good to be back here but, for me, I am at an age where another loan would be good and a move somewhere else to play first-team football", he added.

"For the moment, I'm here and will see what happens next."

Initially in the youth ranks at Roma, Petrucci headed to Manchester United in 2008.

He has also enjoyed a loan stint at Peterborough United.
