Jose Mourinho has claimed it is "impossible" to imagine Zlatan Ibrahimovic moving to Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain.

Ibrahimovic worked with Mourinho at Inter and the pair remain friends, something which has led to speculation that the Portuguese would like to tempt the striker to Stamford Bridge.

But that is one transfer fire Mourinho is not willing to add fuel to, telling French broadcaster Canal +: "It is impossible.

"This is another thing which I don't want to feed the rumours of.

"He is happy at Paris. I know because we are in touch, we're friends.

"Zlatan is mission impossible."

Ibrahimovic grabbed a hat-trick for Paris Saint-Germain earlier today as the French champions clocked up a 4-2 win away at Toulouse in Ligue 1 to lead the table by five points.

The Sweden international won three Serie A titles at Inter, but missed out on the club's famous treble in 2010 by moving to Barcelona the year before.

Mourinho also did his best to rule out any prospect of buying Edinson Cavani from PSG, while conceding the Uruguayan is at least a more realistic target than Ibrahimovic.

"Cavani? Yes, I like him, he is a very, very good player", said the Chelsea boss.

"He is also an impossible task because Paris paid a lot of money for him and he has an amazing contract.

"Maybe not as impossible as Ibrahimovic as Zlatan is more important because of the structure of the club."
