Monaco will attempt to sign yet another Portuguese to their ranks this summer with sights now set on Fenerbahce's Raul Meireles.

According to Turkish outlet Maraton, the principality club may end up making an offer that Fenerbahce cannot refuse.

Meireles, contracted at Fenerbahce until 2016, has enjoyed playing spells at Liverpool and Chelsea, whilst his time in Portugal saw him turn out for FC Porto.

He recently expressed his commitment to Fenerbahce's cause, but the Turkish giants may agree to a big-money offer.

Ricardo Carvalho, Joao Moutinho, James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao are the other ex-Porto names currently at Monaco.

Meireles, who has 72 caps with Portugal and was linked with West Ham and Benfica last month, has been at Fenerbahce since September 2012.

Injury has restricted his appearances this season, though he made his return to league action in the 1-1 draw against Elazigspor on Monday.
